How are the Winners of #NBSPOTY Chosen?
Individual Category Winners
A winner will be crowned for each of the 12 competition categories, selected by an internal judging panel here at NBS. Each category winner will recieve a fun & effective ‘Make Your Own Bee Hotel’ kit.
Anyone can vote for their favourite image without registration. Voters are limited to 1 vote per image, but can vote for as many images as they choose. The public vote is designed to give everyone the recognition their images deserve and encourage positivity amongst our wonderful community.
Overall #NBSPOTY2020 Winner
Our expert panel of judges will also pick one overall winner of #NBSPOTY. There is no specific criteria for this decision, other than it simply must take their breath away. Their pick will be crowned as the 2020 champion and the photographer responsible will be awarded this year’s grand prize!

Portrait images will be accepted, but looked upon less favourably than landscape images.
Whilst we’d love you to experience the joy of learning to keep bees, we understand that this isn’t possible for everyone. For those who cannot/would prefer not to receive a starter kit, we will substitute the main prize for £250 in National Bee Supplies vouchers.
